  • I cannot wait for November 5th, because it means November 4th is over, as is the political drama that’s become increasingly more hostile the closer we get to Election Day. Families are disowning each other over diverging political views, and friends are turning into each other’s mortal enemies because they are voting differently—it’s getting so bad that you can’t answer someone who asks, “who are you voting for?” People who ask things like that aren’t trying to satisfy their curiosity; what they really want to do is find someone to pick a fight with—because you know if you answer something contrary to what they think is correct, you will get your ass beat–verbally, physically, or both. And don’t try to answer the way the asker wants you to, or say you are undecided, because you might trigger a long, political discussion. Also, if you lied to avoid a confrontation, this long, political discussion will most likely expose the truth…and lead to an ass beating.

Listen up, you hardcore Republicans and Democrats who choose your political parties over your personal relationships: you already have a vote and can use it however you wish, so stop trying to get another one! And if your preferences don’t come out on top, well, tough sh*t–that’s how democracy works, so welcome to America, b*tch.

Not that I would ever say any of that to your faces because I really don’t want to be trampled to death by you crazies while you’re wielding your Obama and McCain signs. Hell no. However, what I would say is this:

    RepublicanDemocraticBeatIt

Which will most likely lead to this:

    RepublicanDemocraticBeatIt2

You see an ass beating; I see a bipartisan ass beating. Mission accomplished!

  • Here Here.. I might actually be able to turn on a news channel again.

  • Vote for Sylvia!

  • well, at least they don’t shit on you.

  • I wield an Obama sign and I smack McPalin supporters with it.  I leave everyone else alone.

I hate it when someone asks who I’m voting for.  It’s like that taboo question where you don’t ask how much a person makes.

  • Haha.  *Start singing MJ’s “beat it”*

  • I wish I could vote.

  • The same thing happened with the Beijing Olympics. I just hate it when people act like jackasses over something like that LOL.

  • I agree.  I can’t stand it this year.  Why is everyone so hostile?  I don’t even like to talk about the election, and I’ve told someone, who’s supposed to be a dear friend, that it’s ok to agree to disagree, and let’s just “not talk about it” and not bash each other, either.  What does he do last night?  Starts ranting and raving about the election, bashing my views, any people who happen to hold my views, Christian holidays, anything else that I happen to hold dear, blaming everything wrong with America with “the other side”….I didn’t even bring up the election.  I called to see how his daughter’s school open house went.  I am tired of being bashed, when I didn’t even do anything to anyone.  I didn’t even bring it up or express a single viewpoint.  What is wrong with people???

  • SERIOUSLY. my sentiments, exactly. amen, woman.

  • Yeah, when people ask who I’m voting for, I go around the question and ask them a funny question like, “How are those hemorrhoids coming along? Are you using the cream I bought you?” We have a good laugh and forget all about politics.

  • Cute. I think the “Divide we Fail” donkey and elephant hybrid wants to get in on that beat down action. =)

  • PWNED!

    Bipartisan-style!

  • you’re so cute

  • Just talk about the weather when you sense that the upcoming of the topic is imminent.

  • Where’s the communist party when you need them?

  • Ack, November 4th cannot come fast enough.

  • nice ass. did you draw him yourself ?

  • dude…seriously.  it’s getting a bit overkill and i think it may settle the economy a little bit once that election is over.  happy friday!

  • BWahahahaha, go Obama! ;)

Your cartoons are the hilarious. Get them syndicated!

  • your Paint skills pwn my Photoshop skills

  • Ha… I just posted about my anger toward this election’s rampant campaigners.  This is great.

  • I can truly sympathize with your desire not to have your life dominated by politics.  It is a desire most Americans share, and it is one of the things that has long differentiated America from most other countries.  However, your desire for all this to be OVER on November 5th, will NOT, sadly, come true.

If McCain pulls off the win, (and it is likely to be very close, either way) there are not enough mental health professionals on the PLANET to handle the outbreak of insanity that will follow because Democrats think they have this election in the bag.  (They’ve got Mickey Mouse registered to vote in all 50 states for crying out loud!)  Bush Derangement Syndrome, even Palin Derangement Syndrome will be AS NOTHING compared to 4 to 8 years of McCain Derangement Syndrome.

On the other hand should Obama win, poltics will not “go away” for you either, because a President Obama will directly impact your life too much.  Your taxes, of course, will go up; any Obama supporter who tells you different probably lies about other things as well because Obama and the Democrats are going to allow the Bush tax cuts to expire, resulting in a tax increase for everyone.  That promised tax cut?  Remember what happened to Clinton’s.

Second, the economy will continue to tank because Obama is proposing to implement the same set of fixes that made President Hoover such a success.  The likely resulting Republican takeover of Congress in 2010 could finally bring the recession/depression to an end, but only if they get veto-proof majorities because, unlike Clinton, nothing in Obama’s background or attitude suggests that he is capable of “learning a lesson”.  And that redistribution of wealth Obama likes to talk about?  That means taking YOUR wealth and giving it to more deserving people, like the lazy.  Democrats are ALREADY holding hearings about confiscating your 401K’s and replacing them with another Social Security check.  (I don’t know about you, but the reason I wanted a 401K in the first place was the assumption that Social Security would be bankrupt by then.)

Third, you are probably going to have to start dodging terrorist attacks at home.  Democrats who have spent the last 8 years comparing Bush’s so far successful attempts to prevent another attack to Hitler’s Germany are simply not going to be capable of sustaining this record.  Moreover, if they succeed in their stated goal of abandoning Iraq (and Iraq’s oil reserves) to al Qaeda, we will be facing a reinvigorated enemy flush with oil money.

Fourth, you are likely to find out that your Constitutional Rights don’t mean much to a Supreme Court armed with pencils and erasers.  Poltics aside, the reason “judicial activism” is a such a bad idea is because a Constitution that means whatever 5 justices SAY that it means, regardless of what is actually written there, has no value whatsoever.  Sure, it is an easy backdoor way to quickly impose your will on a majority that refuses to vote the way you think they should (think legalizing abortion, gay marriage, outlawing guns, etc.), but if you can do it to them, they can do it to you, and a country ruled by 5 Supreme Court justices “making it up as they go” is no longer a free country.

Thus, no matter what the outcome on Tuesday, the partisan warfare will continue and probably get worse.  The only choice we have on Tuesday is to decide whether we want our lives to get worse, too.

  • I can’t wait to see the result!

  • Can we just shut up about the elections already? We have tolerated it for two years, ENOUGH ALREADY!!! sorry about the rant.
